Ideaseed is a ‘not so secret’ admirer of the Australian chapter of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. We really are bona fide bunny huggers. Cat huggers. Dog huggers. Chicken huggers. You get the picture. Across the country, every year, some 144 000 animals who are lost, abandoned or neglected, find a safe haven at an RSPCA shelter. Guardians of the welfare of all creatures great and small, this most-deserving animal charity regularly tugs on Ideaseed’s heart strings and if we could, we’d surround ourselves with every single last animal at the shelter. However, OH&S has prevented us from fulfilling this dream, so instead we contribute our skills and money to improving the lives of our furry friends. Who wouldn’t take up the opportunity to be someone’s personal fairy godmother? The Starlight Children’s Foundation brightens the lives of seriously ill children and their families, granting each a special wish that supporters like Ideaseed help make a reality. Not only does that little sprinkle of fairy dust help boost these kiddies’ spirits, it’s good for the soul. Just like the tagline says: ‘Good happens!’ Ideaseed volunteers over at goodcompany, an inspired initiative that connects professionals and their skills, with community groups in need of those skills. Since 2001, goodcompany has facilitated more than $8.5 million worth of pro bono services! Now that’s how you make good things happen – and we’re proud to be at the giving end.
