Deadlines are brutal—here’s how Microsoft templates can save your sanity

It's time to ask you a few questions:

Do deadlines give you the jitters?
Do deadlines seem to creep up on you on a regular basis?
Do you get cranky when the deadline you're given is short?
Do you start fuming when someone combines the words "PowerPoint Deck" and "Tomorrow"?

If you answered 'Yes' to even one of the above statements I've got good news.(If you answered 'No' to these, then you're superhuman and you don't need to read anymore. See you next time.)The answer to your woes is a template. Get stuck in and create a solid, great looking template and you will thank yourself for a long time.A template means that you:

Don't have to start from scratch every time.
The look will be consistent, no matter what you are doing.
Following on from consistency - it means everyone in the company can access it and they too will have a consistent look (aka branding!)
If you have gone a step further and created some Auto Text entries (boilerplate text) then you will save even more time.
You are likely to be able to get a presentation/document done before the deadline (unless of course, you keep getting 'changes'!)

The next step in the template journey is making it look awesome. There's no point making it look 'blah'. No one is going to use it and no one will be inspired to pay attention to the content. So do put the effort into it. Yes it may take you awhile, but it will mean big benefits down the track - just like most things in life, 'short-term pain, long term gain'.Now if you really are impatient and are all about instant gratification,call us, we're awesome!
