Background

Jemena is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure companies, and when it came time to expand their Annual Report to include an AASB S2 Sustainability Report, they turned to sustainability communications consultancy BWD Strategic to lead the project. BWD brought Ideaseed in to handle the Financial Statements section - roughly 75 pages of dense financial content that needed to look and feel like a natural part of the broader report BWD was designing.

What we did

Working from supplied brand artwork, we designed and built a production-ready Word template tailored specifically for financial statement content. The template included:

A full suite of heading, body, notes and table styles suited to financial data
Headers and footers matched to the broader report design
A landscape page option for wide tables

With the template built, we ran online training for the Jemena finance team so they could confidently populate their own data. Once content was in, we formatted all 75 pages to sit seamlessly alongside BWD's Climate and Sustainability sections, matching the quality and visual language of the rest of the report.

The project included multiple quick-turnaround rounds throughout - including weekend work - to keep everything on schedule.

The result

The report was lodged on time, and the Financial Statements section sat naturally alongside BWD's designed content as a cohesive, publication-quality whole. Both BWD and Jemena were thrilled with the result.

Your calm, can-do attitude was hugely appreciated, especially when we hit a few hurdles along the way. Nothing ever felt like a problem, and you were so easy to work with. The quality of the work was excellent and the client is absolutely thrilled with the final result.
